In which the 'student' demonstrates their knowledge to the 'teacher' of various parries inspired by the devices against attacks at various openings.

Wipe away the strike Left Pflug Gathering step fwd, Kron catch Wrench/shove away False edge cut down to right ear (plunging strike) Let blade pass down to the left and come around to an oberhau in a circle (zirckel), step left while doing so.

Response to an Oberhauw

Passing Step Oberhauw Gathering Step forward Kron parry
Shove up and to the side (Außreissen) with the crossguard.
Bring the sword around over in a false edge cut with crossed arms overhead, cutting down vertically at the upper right opening/right shoulder.
Swipe away the incoming cut with the long edge Keeping the downward momentum bring the sword around past the left side and around overhead in a circle ((Zirckel), then take a broad Glide Step to the left, cut with the long edge and extended arms, leaning away from the Teacher's sword reach.

Reach forward with left hand and grasp crossguard/schilt
Passing Step back with left foot, twist Teacher's sword out to the left and cut over with a single handed cut with the right hand.

Response to a Mittelhauw

Zornhut, left leg forward Alber, right leg forward
Passing Step Mittelhauw Passing Step forward Hangetort parry with the blade angled.
Maintain the Bind Reverse blade (Verkehren) so the point is to the right and lays over their sword and wrench right (Außreissen).
Cut behind their blade to their face (Doplieren).

Lift hands up to counter the reversing. Release the left hand, allow the blade to flip back around to point left, underneath their sword.
Grip blade with left hand in a half sword.
Move blade up under forearms and hand pressing (Hendtrucken).
Triangle Step to the left, slice over the arms with the halfsword grip (Schneiden).

Nebenhut, left leg forward Alber, right leg forward
Passing Step Unterhauw to lower opening Cross Step forward Schranckhut parry.
Bring pommel forward and rotate sword from beneath the Teacher's and over his arms, into his head with a snapping (Umbschnappen).

Release right hand from sword & step behind Left Pflug Passing step crossguard catch strong on strong Release left, plunge through behind their right arm, grab own forearm. Figure 4 lock. Step through with right for throw/break Mid Low Right zornhut Passing step mittelhau

Parry hangen Left Pflug Passing step pflug catch Lift and run under to wrestle (einlauffen)


Low Right Nebenhut Passing step unterhau low

Passing step back, parry right schranckhut Left Pflug Passing step left, pflug catch Wrench blade down and cut right knee (wrenching)
