| Cross the hands to bar them below the blade (Sperren), then lead leg Gathering Step to the Meister's left with a rising slice to their arms or face (Schneiden). | 
Response to a Zwerch

| Cut a zwerch back around to the other side. | Step forward to the left with the lead leg and cut a swift Zwerch to the left of their neck underneath the Meister's zwerch, parrying and striking in one movement. | 
Response to a Mittelhauw
