The parry of High Octave stops Cut 2.
Hutton says that this is the only possible parry for a return over one's sword at the right cheek.
In his section on Beating Hutton describes this as an "Italian Parry", along with the High Prime.
[edit] Execution
- Raid the hilt level with the top of the head
- Let the blade drop so it hangs almost vertically to the right side of the body.
- Receive the cut on the forte as near to the shell as possible.
