[edit] Flick

This is also known as the Zeckrur (twitch).

[edit] Longsword

Not a particular strike in itself twitching or flicking involves rapidly flicking the point at the opponent with the edge or flat. Typically this is performed from the bind.

[edit] Notes

The first part of the blind strike varies through the text. In the canonical description it is a wind from the bind, whereas elsewhere it is begun with a strike with the inside flat of the blade. The important part seems to be the outward wind and the threatening of the face with the point, be it flat or pointed.

Other flicking with the longsword can be seen in the second application of Krumphauw with the follow up strike, as well as in the Blendthauw and Doplieren.

[edit] Applications

There is no syllabus application of this technique in isolation; it is adequately demonstrated in the Blendthauw.
