Hutton doesn't give a specific name for this guard, simply saying that it resembles Sixte. The guard is held with the back edge to the right with the hand held nails up. The blade can be somewhat above or below the horizontal and the point is well offline in readiness for cuts to the opponent's inside.
The back of the blade can be used to parry cuts to the outside line.
Hutton finds this guard useful against the High Seconde/Low Hanging guard as it confuses the opponent.
