Failing
The act of redirecting a cut smoothly part way through and cutting through to another opening. This differs from Verfliegen in that it is a smooth redirection rather than jerking away.
Application Examples
In which the 'student' demonstrates their knowledge to the 'teacher' of a failing attack which moves off to each side.
Teacher | Student |
---|---|
Eisenport, left leg forward | Zornhut, left leg forward |
Passing Step, Zornhauw | |
Long edge parry. | Before impact, lift the pommel and let the blade run off to your right in a circle (Zirckel) by the right side. |
Step left and cut over with a Zornhauw to the upper right opening. |
Teacher | Student |
---|---|
Eisenport, left leg forward | Zornhut, left leg forward |
