The parry of Sixte stops Cut 2, though is really only used when facing an opponent in High Seconde/Low Hanging guard.

Hutton also describes a sixte like position in his guards section; he doesn't give a specific name for this guard, simply saying that it resembles Sixte. The guard is held with the back edge to the right with the hand held nails up. The blade can be somewhat above or below the horizontal and the point is well offline in readiness for cuts to the opponent's inside.

Hutton finds this guard useful against the High Seconde/Low Hanging guard as it confuses the opponent.
