Cut 7 is executed thus:
- Stand in Medium guard
- Lunge on the lead leg and deliver a vertical cut to the top of the opponent's head.
- Recover to guard
This cut was considered ineffective in many theatres of combat as it was easily prevented with appropriate headwear.
