Schlussel
From Scholar Victoria
Key
One of the secondary guards, schlussel is a high side guard which threatens with thrusts and cuts, as well as provides opportunities for parrying. It is somewhat similar to ochs, just with the hands lowered to a resting position on the upper forward arm.
Meyer states that this is an excellent guard and is useful in all circumstances, though he only provides a meagre few devices based on this guard.
