Dussack Drills 3

Having learned in the second drills to perform driving cuts, we now learn to pull the cuts away so that we can deceive with Verfliegen.
Drill 1 - Cuts from Above
In pairs:
| Teacher | Student |
|---|---|
| Wacht, left leg forward | Stier or Wacht, left leg forward |
| Cut a Zornhauw at the Teacher's upper left opening, perform a Passing Step with the right. | |
| Parry the blow aside. | As soon as you see his hands move toward yours, fly off and cut up from below left to his lower right opening. |
| Withdraw (Abzug) with a defensive high cut or a guard. |
Drill 2 - Cuts from Below
In pairs:

| Wacht, left leg forward | Stier or Wacht, right leg forward |
| Cut an Unterhauw at the Teacher's lower right opening, perform a Passing Step with the left. | |
| Parry the blow aside. | As soon as you see his hands move toward yours, fly off and cut up from above right to his upper left opening. |
| Withdraw (Abzug) with a defensive high cut or a guard. |
Drill 3 - Middle Cuts
In pairs:

| Cut a Mittelhauw at the Teacher's left opening, perform a Passing Step with the right. | |
| Parry the blow aside. | As soon as you see his hands move toward yours, fly off and cut up from your left right opening. |
