Deflecting

When you stand in the right wrath, and you will be struck at, let the blade hang behind you, and send your hanging blade over your head and under his blade, that you catch his strike on your flat, and your thumbs stand broad across your hilt under you, to then wind or snap over or whatever else you like. This can be done with the blade more point on, so the deflection achieves a thrusting slice, or more in a hanging position, which places you better for snapping style of winding motions.
