The dussack was, in many ways, considered a young-man’s weapon in Meyer’s time, and the basis for all single handed weapons in the Meyer system. The dussack itself is a short single edged training sword, generally constructed from wood and possibly wrapped in leather. Because of this, few extant examples of dussack exist, however metal versions do remain.
