Changing Through

Subtly dropping the blade's tip low under the opponent's and thrusting/slicing to the other side.

Application Examples

In which the 'student' demonstrates their knowledge to the 'teacher' of a changing through.

Meister Lehrling
Eisenport, left leg forward Vom tag, left leg forward
Passing Step forward and cut an abbreviated Zornhauw to Gerade versetzung.
Parry to the left as if to push the Lehrling's blade to the left. Dip your weak beneath the Meister's blade, and lift it to the other side, turning the long edge against the Teacher's blade.
Gathering Step forward, giving them the point.

Note: if the opponent parries aside your thrust from the change through, simply change through again.
