The parry of St George, otherwise known as the Head Guard, stops the vertical cut from above (Cut 7).
Execution
- Raise the hand over the top of the head, elbow well behind the hilt
- The blade should be pointed slightly to the left front and hanging slightly
- Take the blow on the forte.
